The decanter is to help us sober up faster and enjoy the wine.

2. How to use the decanter

If the purpose of sobering up is to allow the wine to breathe freely, then you only need to pay attention to tilt the bottle at 30 degrees when pouring the wine, try to let the wine collide with the inner wall as much as possible, and increase the contact area between the wine and oxygen.

And if you use the decanter to remove the sediment in the wine, you need to follow the steps below.

1. Remove the bottle seal at the neck of the wine bottle. Don't just remove the bottle seal at the top of the bottle, but remove the entire bottle seal. In this way, when pouring wine, the situation of the entire bottle mouth can be observed, and the precipitation in the wine can be reduced from entering the decanter.

2. Keep the pouring speed slow. The purpose of decanting old wine is to remove the sediment in the wine. If it is poured too quickly, the sediment may not be visible.

3. Carefully observe the precipitation. With the help of candlelight or other bright light sources, pay attention to the situation of the wine on the shoulder of the bottle to ensure that there is any precipitated wine in the bottle remaining on the shoulder of the bottle.

4. Pay attention to stop pouring wine. Stop pouring when you see sediment in the wine on the shoulder of the bottle, and stand the bottle upright until the sediment settles to the bottom of the bottle. However, if there is a lot of sediment left on the shoulder of the bottle but there is still a lot of wine in the bottle, you can consider using a filter device to transfer the remaining wine to a decanter.
